A Lost Man

A man travelling lost his way and came to a fork in the road. Standing at the fork were two brothers. One brother always told lies and the other always told the truth. Assuming it was not known which brother was which, how could the man ask just one question that would give him the information he needs to choose the correct way (assume that the brothers know the correct way).

Answer
Ask either one of them the following question: What would your brother say the correct way is?. Whatever the answer, choose the other direction.
